First GPS unit. The 2009 maps that comes preloaded provides all the locations for new stores and restaurents within the Virginia Beach area. Some of these restaurants opened last year. All the streets and directions have been accurate from here to Hampton, VA., my everyday commute. The traffic updates are accurate. Even though I'm traveling at 65 mph, I noticed that it shows moderate traffic when a large number of vechiles are on the road. Voices that are provided seem computer generated but are easily understood. Very easy to use. Unfortunately, my wife loves it so it's always in her SUV.
It provides possible answers as you begin to type in names, address, etc. Makes it easy to quickly find an address or location.
Only thing I don't like is the bulky lighter plug. It's about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. Seems kind of cumbersome.
I haven't used it in pedistrian mode yet.
Obtains satilite location with 5-10 seconds after turning it on. |
