MapSource™ CDs provide high level detail
of roads, recreational areas, coastlines, navaids, lakes, boat ramps,
topography and more. A PC Interface cable is enclosed with each GPSMAP 76S
to allow you to download MapSource™ CD Data between your PC and GPSMAP
76S. MapSource™ software also allows you to view color maps on a
personal computer, with zoom and pan functions for easy map browsing.
Users can then select individual maps in areas of interest and transfer
the maps the GPSMAP 76S or other compatible GPS.
Think of MapSource™ as an atlas that contains many
smaller maps. By choosing several of these maps, you can make a map
set. This map set can then be transferred to your GARMIN GPS, which
