The Garmin eTrex Vista GPS also boasts an internal memory capacity of 24 megabytes, which allows it to accept downloaded mapping data from GARMIN's MapSource® CD-ROMs. A silver case gives this unit a high-tech look. The Garmin eTrex Vista GPS supports the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) differential GPS corrections through a system of ground stations and geosyncronous satellites. Without any additional equipment or fees, the Garmin eTrex Legend GPS uses WAAS to realize position accuracy of better than 9 feet, 95% of the time (typical)*.
*WAAS is available in Americas only. Accuracy may be degraded when view of the horizon is obstructed by trees or mountains.
